End user experience design calls for you to put your user at the center of everything you do. Easier said than done, right? Let PixelMEDIA do the heavy lifting for you. assessment/evaluation
PixelMEDIA will evaluate your website or application against a set of common, industry-accepted usability guidelines and usability best practices and provide you with a written report of findings and recommendations for improvement.
focus groups with your customers, VARs, SEs, or others
PixelMEDIA will gather groups of users to get their feedback and initial reactions to an early stage design and to hear them discuss their preferences in a facilitated but open environment.
user research and interviews
In the interest of better usability, we'll conduct one-on-one interviews with your current or prospective users (in person or by telephone) to gather direct input on their business needs and challenges. We'll also collect usability feedback on their experience with your software or website using a script that you've approved.
contextual inquiry/field research
Our team will study the context in which a task is being performed by observing and experiencing tasks in the user's native environment (e.g., workplace, desk, control room, or kitchen).
cardsorting
We'll work with your target audience(s) to organize the content for your website or application. Using paper or online cards, we'll ask your users to organize the cards into groups and to label the groups. This provides valuable input for understanding the natural categories people have for the content before we begin the design of the new structure.
task-based usability testing
In our onsite usability lab, we'll evaluate the end user experience in how your target audience actually uses the software or website. We'll determine user goals, develop scripts, conduct the testing sessions, and make recommendations to increase efficiency, usability, and user-friendliness, leveraging installed software to track user responses. PixelMEDIA is mobile and flexible to work with your users at our onsite usability lab, in their remote distributed locations, or at your facilities.
paper prototype testing and clickable wireframe testing
PixelMEDIA's usability specialists will create paper and online prototypes as part of our iterative design approach, where we evaluate and refine designs with the results of testing at each cycle feeding into the design focus of the next cycle.
surveys to relevant participants
Using an economically efficient online tool, we'll work with your target audience(s) to collect online information about demographics, preferences, and overall design impact. Surveys can be highly structured to ensure we preserve the scientific collection of usability feedback.
